Anonymize or Delete Results

To anonymize or delete individual results from an ongoing or completed survey, you have the following options:

1) Delete all results or individual results per participant
2) Anonymize or delete results for a specific question

1. Delete all results or individual results per participant
You can delete all results by removing the entire survey. This will delete all collected results for the survey.

To delete individual participants from the results, go to your survey results and click on “Single results” Use the checkboxes to select the participants you want to delete, and at the bottom of the page, check the “selected responses” box. Confirm your selection by clicking the “delete” button. This option is useful if, for example, you want to delete only the test participants and their responses from a test, or if you want to delete individual results.

Note:
Deleting a participant via the individual results means that they will no longer be displayed in the results, but they will still be counted toward the maximum number of participants for the survey. You can view this in the settings for the relevant survey. In the first settings section, under “Status,” the total number of participants to date is displayed on the right.

2. Delete all results or individual results per participant
This option is useful if you only want to delete answers for selected questions, or if you need to anonymize answers due to internal data protection policies.

To anonymize or delete the responses to a question, go to your survey results and click on “Results” Select the question for which you want to anonymize or delete the responses, click on the settings button and select the “Delete answers” option.

In the window that opens, you have the option to delete all or only some of the responses. For questions where participants were able to submit text responses, you can also choose to anonymize or delete those text responses.

To do this, simply select the entire question or the desired answer options, confirm the deletion or anonymization by checking the box “Yes, I want to anonymize/delete X results” and then select the desired action, “anonymize” or “delet.”

Note:
The “Anonymize” option is only available for text responses. Anonymization preserves the static data for analysis. Only the text responses are overwritten with the label “Anonymized

Tip:
Any deletion or anonymization always applies to the data currently displayed. For example, if you want to delete or anonymize only a portion of the participants, it’s a good idea to activate a results filter. This makes it easier for you if, for example, you want to delete or anonymize results only from a specific date range or a specific list of participants.

Warning:
Once you have chosen one of the two options, there is no way to reverse the anonymization or deletion. Both actions are final.
